: ABOUT US:
Located in the renowned hot springs village of Wakura Onsen, Tadaya ryokan is a traditional Japanese inn surrounded by gorgeous vistas of sky and sea. Visitors enjoy soothing open-air baths, delectable seasonal cuisine, and the peace of mind that comes from spending time close to nature.
Tadaya has been run by the same family for five generations since opening in 1855. Unlike the area’s other ryokan, which occupy tall, modern-style buildings, Tadaya features a classic one-story hiraya layout that stretches toward Nanao Bay, and sits on a small hill renowned for its gorgeous sunsets.
Tadaya offers boat cruises from its very own pier, as well as easy access to the charming shops and restaurants of downtown Wakura Onsen. But after luxuriating in baths and breathing the fresh ocean air, guests may decide never to leave the sheltered sanctuary of the Ryokan itself.

“Rikyu” rooms are based on early 20th-century Taisho-style architecture, offering spacious interiors, luxurious furniture and ocean vistas. Visitors staying in these rooms, which are located in an outlying building that overlooks the bay, will feel enveloped in the arms of the ocean.

“Hou Getsu” rooms offer both Japanese and Western style designs incorporating a traditional sense of nature in order to soothe and relax. : Cuisine :
Tadaya ryokan’s sumptuous cuisine is prepared with fresh ingredients supplied by the farmers and fishermen of nearby Noto Peninsula. The ever-changing menu features seasonal specialties, including sea bream in spring, rock oyster and abalone in summer, matsutake mushrooms in autumn, and snow crab and yellowtail in winter.

: Onsen :
The curative properties of Wakura Onsen have been celebrated for over 1,200 years. Locals claim that the 87F waters, rich in salt and chlorine, can alleviate just about any physical ailment. Today, visitors enjoy another benefit—the hot springs offer a perfect tonic for the stressed-out spirit.
Tadaya’s 18-meter-long baths can accommodate men, women and families, and they provide splendid views of the bay beyond the wall-size windows. Outdoor rotenburo baths, including one that’s situated just 2 meters from the sea, allow guests to experience a more direct connection with the area’s breathtaking natural beauty.
